What if I resent her?
Then you are one person doing a job that was built for four.
Resentment is not a character flaw. It is a reading on a gauge. It rises when more is going out than is coming in, and it will keep rising until something changes, no matter how good your heart is.
So do not go to war with the feeling. Go find what it is measuring. It is almost always one of three things: you have had no time that belongs to you, nobody has thanked you in a long time, or there is old history between you two that never got dealt with and now you are washing that same person's back.
Name which one it is. That is the thing to work on. Trying to talk yourself out of resenting her while nothing actually changes is just one more chore on the list.
